Whether you are a beginner or advanced shooter, you will walk away from this course a better protector of yourself and your loved ones.

 

This course is the foundation of armed self-defense training.  Whether you want to reliably put rounds on target, or you’re building your skills for rapid acquisition and engagement of multiple targets in a real-world scenario, you will find these skills and more in Defensive Shooting Fundamentals.  The fundamentals learned here can help to guide your mental and physical responses in a real-life self-defense situation.

 

This training builds on what your body does naturally when experiencing the stress of a deadly threat.  Drills are powered by empirical evidence from actual events, with everything you learn being the result of real live situations.  Skills developed in this course are based on how students need to be able to react in a real self-defense incident.

 

There will be a short classroom presentation, but you will spend most of your time on the range in this course.  Students should bring their firearm with a minimum of 2 extra magazines, a minimum of 100 rounds of ammunition, and their holster.

 

Live fire drills may include:

• Extend - Touch - Press

• Up and Up multiple

• Emergency reload

• Balance of speed & precision

• Presentation from the holster

• Lateral movement

• Facing movement

• Tactical stroll

• Weak hand shooting

• Multiple target engagement

• Home defense simulation

• Concealed carry simulation

This course will be held in Waldorf, MD, however the exact training location(s) will be provided to registered students in a private email within the week prior to the class for planning and security reasons.
