This course is specifically designed to meet the New Jersey training requirements for a NJ Concealed Carry Permit. This course is applicable to both residents and out-of-state residents.
NJ requires concealed carry permit applicants to list their handgun within their application, therefore you should already own a handgun and use it during the qualification course of fire.
COURSE DETAILS
After completing this class, you will meet the training requirements to apply for your New Jersey Concealed Carry Permit as a resident or out-of-state resident.

NJ Use of Force Training for Private Citizens

Live Fire Qualification using the Civilian Carry Assessment and Range Evaluation (CCARE)

Application Process
Students will be expected to bring their handgun, OWB holster, magazine(s), eye/ear protection, and a minimum of 50 rounds for the qualification course. It is recommended to bring 100 rounds in case remedial shooting is necessary.
Students must achieve an 80% or greater score during the Civilian Carry Assessment and Range Evaluation (CCARE) to receive certification.
Should you fail to pass qualification, you will be permitted to reattempt the same day if you have the ammunition available to continue. Should you be unable to qualify on the day of class, you will not receive certification. At your expense, you may schedule another range qualification attempt with your instructor after remedial training/practice.
It is recommended to practice the qualification course prior to class. If you have concerns, schedule a private lesson to help increase your proficiency prior to range day.
